Q: What is New England Bar Co.?
A: New England Bar Co. is a women-owned mobile bartending company serving New England with thoughtfully crafted cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options. We bring the bar to your wedding, private party, or corporate event and create a customized, elevated beverage experience.
Q: What areas do you serve?
A: We primarily serve New Hampshire and Maine, with the ability to travel throughout New England for select events. Travel fees may apply for events outside our core service area.
Q: What types of events do you do?
A: We cater to weddings, private parties, holiday gatherings, corporate events, hospitality functions, festivals, and more. If you’re planning a celebration, we can likely be there.
Q: Are you a women-owned business?
A: Yes! New England Bar Co. is proudly owned and operated by two women, Taylor and Jayden, who bring years of service industry and hospitality experience to every event.
Bar & Beverage Service
Q: Do you provide the alcohol, or do we?
A: This can vary based on state and local regulations as well as the type of event. In many cases, clients purchase the alcohol directly, and we handle everything else: custom menu design, mixers, garnishes, ice, bar tools, and professional bartending staff. We’ll walk you through the best option for your specific event and location.
Q: What’s included in your bar packages?
A: Packages typically include a custom drink menu, professional bartenders, bar tools, disposable cups or glassware (depending on package), garnishes, mixers, ice, and setup/cleanup of the bar area. We’ll tailor the package to your guest count, event style, and budget.
Q: Can you help us build a custom cocktail menu?
A: Absolutely. We specialize in custom, seasonal, and New England-inspired cocktails. We’ll learn about your preferences, theme, and must-have flavors, then design a menu just for your event.
Q: Do you offer non-alcoholic options?
A: Yes! We can create beautiful zero-proof cocktails, mocktails, and a full non-alcoholic bar setup so everyone feels included, whether they’re drinking alcohol or not.
Q: Do you offer beer and wine service only?
A: Yes. We can provide a simple beer-and-wine bar, an upgraded beer/wine + signature cocktail package, or a full craft cocktail experience. You choose what fits your event best.
Local & Ethical Sourcing
Q: Do you source ingredients locally?
A: Whenever possible, yes. We aim to source fresh ingredients and garnishes locally and love partnering with nearby farms, producers, and other women-owned businesses to bring a true New England flavor to your event.
Q: Can you feature local spirits, wines, or beers?
A: Definitely. We’re happy to recommend local distilleries, breweries, and wineries and help you build a menu that highlights New England makers.
Booking & Pricing
Q: How does pricing work?
A: Pricing is based on your guest count, duration of service, type of bar package (beer and wine, signature cocktails, full bar, etc.), and travel distance. Once we know the basics of your event, we’ll provide a customized quote and clear package options.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes. A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due prior to the event. Payment schedules will be clearly outlined in your contract.
Q: How far in advance should we book?
A: For weddings and peak-season events, we recommend booking 6–12 months in advance. For smaller or weekday events, we can sometimes accommodate shorter notice depending on availability.
Q: Is there a minimum guest count or minimum spend?
A: We typically have a minimum event fee to cover staffing, setup, and service. This can vary by season and day of the week; we’ll share current minimums when you inquire.
Logistics & Setup
Q: What do you need from the venue?
A: We generally need a flat space for the bar setup, access to water and power (when possible), and adequate time for setup and breakdown. If your event is outdoors or at a private residence, we’ll talk through logistics during planning.
Q: Can you operate at private homes or outdoor locations?
A: Yes. We frequently serve at private residences, barns, backyards, and outdoor venues. We’ll go over access, parking for our mobile setup, and any special requirements ahead of time.
Q: Do you provide the bar itself?
A: Yes, we can provide a stylish bar setup (or mobile bar) depending on your package and event needs. If your venue already has a bar, we’re happy to work from that as well.
Legal, Safety & Policies
Q: Are your bartenders certified and insured?
A: Yes. Our bartenders are experienced, professionally trained, and certified as required. We also carry liability insurance and can provide proof of coverage to your venue upon request.
Q: Do you card guests and manage responsible service?
A: Absolutely. We check IDs and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is underage or appears overserved. Guest safety is a top priority for us.
Q: Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies in cocktails?
A: In many cases, yes. We can design cocktails that are gluten-free, dairy-free, or tailored around certain ingredients. Please let us know about any allergies or restrictions ahead of time.
Q: What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
A: Our retainer is typically non-refundable, but we will do our best to work with you on rescheduling if your date needs to change. Full details will be outlined in your contract.
Planning & Customization
Q: How do we get started?
A: Submit an inquiry with your event date, location, estimated guest count, and a brief description of your celebration. We’ll confirm availability, share package options, and start designing the perfect bar experience for you.
Q: Can you match our wedding or event theme?
A: Yes! From menu design and cocktail names to garnishes and bar décor, we love tying your bar experience into your colors, theme, or overall aesthetic.
